Mission Statement:
Changepoint Early Learning Centre is committed to providing Christ-centred quality education for children in our care, empowering them with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to make positive life choices.
 
Philosophy:

• Changepoint ELC acknowledges Jesus Christ is the centre of who we are and all we do. We believe that children will flourish in a loving, respectful and inclusive environment where Christian beliefs, values and virtues are integrated into daily life.

• Our programme is holistic in its approach and is designed to grow and nurture the well being – Mana Atua of each child, and promote the healthy development of the whole person – body, mind, soul and spirit.

• We believe each child is created by God and has their own individual strengths, interests and abilities that need to be encouraged and developed. As a teaching team we provide an environment which fosters a love for learning where they feel secure in who they are, enabling them to become competent and confident life long learners. We provide an environment which will invite each akonga/child to explore and extend their interests and make new discoveries.

• Changepoint ELC values whanaungatanga through developing relationships with each of our families. We embrace and respect the diversity of cultures and seek to help each child gain a positive awareness of their own family heritage and the culture of others.

• Changepoint ELC values respect for Gods creation. Through natural curiosity, exploration and shared learning we teach our children to love, care and respect the things God has made.
