GLOBAL SUPPORT

Picture
Maisha Africa was started by Praise Namisi, a Ugandan, who connected with Changepoint during her 3-month stay in New Zealand in 2013. She has been caring for street-children and other vulnerable children since she was 15 and is presently caring for 40 orphaned children and running a school, church and community outreach in rural Uganda. Moses, whom she married in 2014, is leading the ministry together with her since January 2016. Changepoint has a solid heart-connection with Praise and the ministry and channels 100% of donations to Uganda. For more information see www.maishaafrica.org.nz

Hope In Villages+ (HIV+) is a project that empowers impoverished women in rural Uganda, many of them HIV+, to care for their own families and children. It is run from a holistic transformational development perspective to raise up families and churches who can sustainably care for their own children and orphans in the community. Child Sponsorships of $25/month are available to make it possible for the children to attend school, while giving support, training and discipleship. Changepoint is a joint partner in this project alongside YWAM Uganda and YWAM Bethlehem.  Contact Isabel Betts for information on sponsorship at hopeinvillages@gmail.com www.facebook.com/HopeInVillages

PEOPLE IN THE NATIONS

Bernie & Sylvia Kay
Bernie & Sylvia work with Youth With A Missions (YWAM) University of the Nations Kona, Hawaii campus.  They are part of a Voice for the Voiceless based out of the Kona, Hawaii.  In order to partner for transformation, “a Voice for the Voiceless” seeks to build bridges between those moved with compassion & those experiencing injustice.  In August  2015 YWAM and the Jesus Film Project entered into a new partnership in order to get the film into as many languages as possible.  Bernie and Sylvia are working with this partnership to raise up those who will go to new language groups and help get the Jesus Film into their language. We have committed our time & given up our stable jobs to work as non-paid full time staff because we believe in the vision of a Voice for the Voiceless and the YWAM/Jesus Film partnership. Please PARTNER with us by donating monthly or with a one-time gift.

Ian Murray
I am in Fiji.
6 months ago I left the shores of New Zealand to become a missionary with Youth With A Mission Fiji (YWAM), and now I currently reside in Labasa Northern Fiji. Why Fiji? After having done several short term mission trips throughout Asia and the South Pacific, I decided to try out long term, and having done a DTS (discipleship training school) last year here in Labasa, the time was right for me to come here.In the last 6 months I have been to Samoa, helped lead a disciple school, been trained in another, led a base, and been on outreach with a Tongan DTS.
